NQCG is performing research and development in the area of commercial exploitation of nano-scale science, engineering and technology.

Our main area of interest is Quantum Information Processing and Communication (QIPC). Our ultimate goal is to make important scientific progress while building a successful business enterprise.

NQCG view Quantum Information Processing and Communication (QIPC) as a nascent group of disruptive technologies that will dramatically affect the future.

QIPC is a young and rapidly growing field of research at the intersection of physics, mathematics, chemistry, engineering and computer science. Its ultimate goal is to harness quantum physics to conceive (and ultimately build) Quantum Computers that could dramatically exceed the capabilities of today’s classical computers.

QIPC has the potential for a revolutionary impact on information technology - a whole new technology, Quantum Information Technology (QIT) could emerge. Given the pervasiveness of conventional IT today, the emergence of a new QIT would have major industrial and societal impact. At present QIPC is a long term and high-risk endeavour.

NQCG believe QIPC will revolutionise the world of the 21st century and will therefore invest early in promising areas of the subject in order to establish itself as the leader in this field.
